A New Standard delegation visited the Haji Omaran Border Crossing to coordinate the planned expansion and upgrade of the company’s laboratory. In a meeting and brief site walk with Mr. Masoud Batili, the Border Director, the team reviewed the current footprint, access routes, and basic utilities. The visit focused on coordination with the crossing administration and a short walk-through to identify possible locations for the upgrade within the compound. The teams noted current constraints—space availability, vehicle flow near inspection bays, and utility access and agreed to exchange site data and designate focal points for follow-up.
New Standard Company employees held a series of meetings in both Sulaymaniyah and Haji Omaran with the aim of improving and organizing vehicle inspection procedures with precision in the region. These meetings focused on enhancing efficiency and ensuring strict adherence to the established standards for vehicle inspections, with the goal of improving performance and ensuring the application of the highest quality standards in inspection processes.
A meeting took place between the delegation of the Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control - Baghdad and the director, along with representatives, of New Standard Company for Quality Control at Ibrahim Khalil International Entry Complex. The delegation was briefed on the available laboratory equipment and analysis processes, paving the way for an agreement to activate cooperation and communication. Plans were set in motion, including visits from the Central Agency to acquire modern Iraqi specifications and the essential activation of joint efforts through reciprocal visits and workshops. The aim is to enhance and standardize procedures related to ensuring health and citizen safety.
