The Minister of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Visits New Standard Company

Mr. Rebaz Mohammad, the Minister of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), visited the laboratory of Ibrahim Khalil International Complex on Monday, November 26, 2018. He was warmly welcomed by the Director of New Standard Company. After touring all the laboratories and sections of the company, the minister expressed gratitude for the progress of the work and thanked the company staff for their precision and organizational skills in preventing the importation of substandard goods or materials to the markets of the region. His Excellency wished that this international standard of work in the labs of Ibrahim Khalil Complex would cover all entrances to the Kurdistan Region. He also expressed his willingness to support the company's laboratory system

Visit by Erbil International Airport Delegation to New Standard Company at Ibrahim Khalil Complex

Dr. Mwafaq Suleiman Qasim, the Director General of New Standard Company at Ibrahim Khalil Complex, warmly welcomed a delegation from Erbil International Airport (EIA), led by the Director General of EIA, Talar Fayeq. The delegation included representatives from the German airline Lufthansa, the Assistant Director of General Customs in the Kurdistan Region, and the Director of Customs in EIA. The visit aimed to explore New Standard Company’s laboratories, observe ongoing lab tests, understand the nature of company laboratories, and consider the implementation of a similar quality control system at Erbil International Airport.

Visit by Kurdistan Parliament Delegation to New Standard Company Laboratories

A delegation from the Kurdistan Parliament, including Majid Osman Tawfiq, Chairman of the Committee on Trade and Consumer Rights, Saleh Bashar, Committee Member, and Kamal Yelda Markoz, Vice Chairman of the Committee of Municipal Services, Transport, Communications, and Tourism, visited our laboratories at Ibrahim Khalil International Entry. The purpose of the visit was to gain a firsthand understanding of the quality control process.
