Groundbreaking at New Standard’s Central Quality Laboratory in Baharka, Erbil 13,000 m² Campus.

New Standard announced the start of construction for its Central Quality Laboratory in Baharka, Erbil—a 13,000 m² campus built to international standards. The multi-disciplinary facility will bring together all major testing divisions under one roof, including human pharmaceutical analysis, veterinary medicine testing, and pesticide evaluation.
Planned as a state-of-the-art reference hub for Kurdistan and the wider region, the complex will feature controlled environments and integrated workflows that improve turnaround times and traceability from sample receipt to certified reporting. Completion is expected by the end of June 2026, with the facility projected to be among the largest of its kind in the Middle East.
