Biology Laboratory
The Biology Laboratories, located at Ibrahim Khalil, Haji Omran, and Erbil International Airport, serve as key hubs of scientific advancement within New Standard Company. These labs play a vital role in conducting microbiological analyses using a wide range of methods. Employing biological, biochemical, molecular, and chemical techniques, they examine various materials such as food, beverages, environmental samples, and cosmetics. The analyses are performed in accordance with Iraqi standards and follow updated ISO testing methods, utilizing state-of-the-art instruments tailored for precise testing.
Upon receiving samples, an efficient check-in process managed by the sampling unit ensures their seamless entry into the controlled lab environment, setting the stage for subsequent analysis. Samples are assigned to specialized labs focusing on Health, Veterinary, and Cosmetic testing, with each lab using tailored preparation and examination methods aligned with its area of expertise. To prevent contamination, samples are individually prepared according to their specific testing procedures. A portion of each sample is placed into an enrichment broth for further analysis.
Following initial preparation, the samples are transferred onto various biological materials selected for their specific properties. This step is crucial for monitoring harmful microorganisms through microbiological testing. Samples then undergo incubation, with each receiving special attention based on the characteristics of the organism being studied, creating the ideal conditions for accurate analysis.
After incubation, specialized lab personnel thoroughly analyze the cultured plates. Comprehensive confirmation procedures are conducted using biochemical, serological, and molecular analysis techniques to ensure accuracy.
The laboratory is equipped with advanced tools to guarantee precise and reliable results, including:
